Homemade 'meatballs'!

Soak rice, lentils, beans. I used white rice, mixed lentils and varied beans. Boil them until soft. Add the magic pepper, salt, soy sauce, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, and egg. Mash mash mash, form to balls and bake them! Voilaaaaaa Super yummy no meat 'meat'balls!!

Bake your own granola

I love granola bar!!! They are chewy and nyummy! and my favourite brand is soyjoy. To some people, they are the worst snacks ever, but to some people like me, they are... hmmm.... heaven! :)

I am not a fan of nutty granola. Too much nuts. nope nope. Just don't like them. Prefer chocolate and fruits. So, I did my research on how making one and made my own recipe!

I baked them and they turned out not as crunchy as I expected. Neither satisfied nor disappointed. Just not what I expected.
Later, made a smaller version and add mashed banana and chocolate and cheese, they were mucchhhhhhh better!!!! I finished them all in a day! Yum yum :))

Summer grill in a rainy day

I loooovvvee to think about what's the menu for today, what's in it, how to dress it, cook it and eat it. And when I eat, I love to think, where I start my first cut, which one to finish first, etc. etc. (as common kid do). It feels so much fun!

And this morning, I went to the supermarket and bought tomatoes. Once I arrived home, I remembered the Coli bactery news around here *sigh*. And with no appetite, *not because of the Coli news, but I've had sore throat for days*, I decided to make a french toast, vegetable grills with lemon yogurt!

They are sooooo easy to make and super delicious!

fresh, warm, with no sauce.

and the sauce is coming!

Buon appetito!

I know no rules.

I'm not a super good eater, I am PICKY. not a professional photographer nor a pro chef and that's the reason why I am happy. Do whatever I wanna do. Think, plan, cook, 'dress' them up, click click.. n nyuummm... Sometimes, plan doesn't work and sometimes, I didn't plan and it turns out good.

What's so fun about Milano?

The first time I arrived in Milan, I was really surprised. Previously I lived in Rome and Milan turned out very differently. The plus points I like are cleaner buildings, and the architecture. Those designs fascinated me. The minus points, they are not as friendly as Rome and somehow, I hate those tall buildings.

Later, I found out that they have the tradition called 'aperitivo' and it's very popular here. Most of the bars or restaurants give a fixed price (as in most buffet) and you can have one drink and any food they serve. Less popular bars offer lower price and better food while, most of the high-end bars offer better ambience with better music and people. I've tried both of them and there's no pro and con. Just depend on your mood and let's go!

Sciampagna, Bar '20', one of those high-end bar near Duomo Cathedral in Milan.

Love for the pumpernickel, tomato and mozzarella!

Tempted with its colour and texture, I bought pumpernickel bread which suprisingly, ermm... :S not what I expected. So I looked for ideas to make them into 'friendlier' with my taste.. I toasted them half crisped and baked them with mozzarella and tomato sauce, and it turns out veryyyy goooddd!! It tasted half crisped and half moist, salty and sweet and with these cute-styled dish, now I don't mind eating pumpernickel anymore ;)

*I never knew that running cold water to hot plate could break them, and behind that pretty dish, I had to sacrifice this plate ;(

4 eggs in a day

Finallyy....!! The Chinese egg tea! This snack is absolutely amazing.. Easy to make, pretty coloured and absolutely tasted good. The longer you steep it, the more flavourful it is and deeper coloured. I took 4 Chinese tea eggs in a day and the last one was perfect!
